PT Engineering (as a subconsultant to CALYX) developed a traffic simulation analysis for U‐5722; US 421 Business (Horner Boulevard) Improvements. U‐5722 is defined as the reconstruction of Horner Boulevard, from US 15‐501 to north of SR 1514 (Bragg Street). The analysis included a visually validated base model for the 2017 existing year that compared model-predicted traffic performance against field observations. Additionally, models were developed for the 2040 Future Year No-Build and Build scenarios. Three separate build alternatives were analyzed including part of a conversion to a “complete street” with improvements such as medians, sidewalks, bicycle facilities, and streetscaping.
