PT Engineering developed a traffic forecast for proposed traffic calming along the US 221A corridor from Charlotte Street to Yarboro Street in Rutherford County. The forecast included utilizing the Rutherford Small Area Model output to develop a 2019 Base Year No-Build, 2045 Future Year No-Build, the 2045 Future Year Build forecast for one alternative for 16 intersections. The forecast was also a pilot project to evaluate the use of StreetLight Data passive origin-destination data to develop balanced peak hour forecasts. The final product included a balanced AADT forecast with design factors, balanced turning movements at all intersections and an O-D matrix.
