PT Engineering developed an analysis in TransModeler of the I-277/US 74 interchange area and the adjacent weaving section along I-277 to 4th Street. The study was developed based on the calibrated base year model for the US 74 Corridor (U-5526A). The study evaluated the effect of constructing one of the two alternatives for the proposed U-5526A project combined with a two-lane exit onto the loop to 4th Street. The evaluation included the development of heat maps showing the speed along the corridors for each alternative.
