PT Engineering developed a simulation analysis in TransModeler for the upgrade of the existing at-grade intersection to an interchange along I-85 Business. The study included the development of a 2017 Base Year No-Build analysis, 2040 No-Build analysis and 2040 Build analyses for two alternatives. The analysis included upgrading the facility to include an interchange with multiple roundabouts at the ramp terminals and adjacent intersection. The project serves as a gateway to Davidson County Community College and includes the ability to expand the design to include future development by the college south of I-85 Business.
